The sales funnel – What a beautiful and essential process for each company to increase sales. That’s right, I’ve told every company. The sales funnel process has different success depending on your industry, but believe me when I work on it!
Every day I see companies advertising their product to an audience that doesn’t know who they are or what their product is. Being unfamiliar to your customers usually do not result in high sales.
Of course, sales may be unfamiliar, but if the customer is more aware of your product or brand before purchase, the success rate is nowhere near it. A sales funnel is the accurate and proven method of directing customers to awareness of your brand, completing transactions or sales, and even leading them into future purchases.
From coffee shops to modern virtual reality companies, I’ve worked with various marketing methods to increase sales. The number one strategy has always been the sales funnel, especially with the technology and distribution ways for-sale to us these days.
Enter your sales funnel. Remember, the term “sales funnel” appeals to a process used to push customers to convert. Potential customers enter the top of your funnel through an attractive offer. You interact with them / make them aware of your/your brand, then finally you convert them into potential customers.
So how do sales funnels work? Sales funnels can be everywhere from basic to complex, depending on the product or niche. Below is the initial flow of the sales funnel that works in modern times:
- Obtain Leads: Advertise is something that your target audience wants. What is the target audience’s problem? What price can you pay to help them? Consider giving them something free or very cheap, which will help you cut costs. Maybe it’s an e-book, some video lessons, or perhaps a physical product where the customer puts on shipping and handling covers. However, make the offer attractive to your target audience. The purpose here is to get their details in exchange for your unmatched offer. If they want to get your product, they need to give you an email address or more information so you can ship your product to them. Now that you have their contact details, these are the first stages of your sales funnel.
- Engage and Build Trust: You have them. You can start engaging with your potential customers now. By doing this, you are qualifying or verifying that your customer needs your product, and that value is recognized. There are several ways to do this. For both me and my client, the most effective way to communicate with your customers at this stage is through email, so it can be automated so you can practically do it in your sleep. More about this later.
- Convert: You can now gain confidence by engaging with your customers on a series of emails. When potential customers are familiar with a brand or product, they are more likely to commit to a purchase. It is more in our nature to believe in the afterglow. I often buy Kenny from strangers/brands that I do not know, and this is no different from your product. Place down yourself in their shoes – be friendly and value time for stages 1 and 2, now you sell.
- Up-sell and Ascend: Up-sell other products and climb your value ladder to help your customers purchase higher tickets or pay for standard regular products/services.
Imagine how much time you could earn if you could automate this whole process? You can. You can fall asleep while you engage with your customers. My client and I have made huge profits by doing so, and so can you.
There are several products out there to achieve funnel automation, but no doubt the number one product that sells through this process is a product known as clickfunnels. It is, without a doubt, my lead tool for creating a company online and for more businesses.
Thousands of people are doing just that right now, and at the time of this writing (spring 2019) the process is still a new one, so you can get out there and move on from your competitors.
